The supported file format for playlists are plain text: One file path per line. Both back- and forward slashed are supported, as well as drive letters (which are simply ignored). Lines starting with # are considered comments and thus ignored. Playlist files are limited to max 10000 entries. Entry 10001 and above are ignored. A menu option selects whether to play the list in shuffled order. Directory playback (clicking PLAY on an mp3 file in the dir browser) also uses playlist options such as shuffle and repeat. Resume ------ The resume feature will resume playback at the point where you last shut off your unit. On players, the exact position is stored by pressing PAUSE and letting it save to disk before shutting down. If this is not done, the resumed position will be where the disk was last spun. Recorders do not need to press PAUSE before shutting down, since they store the resume position in their RTC RAM. Resume also handles playlists, and even shuffled playlists. You will return to the point in the playlist where you shut down. Also the order of the playlist is the same. Performance ----------- We have tested with bit rates from 32 to 320 kbit/s and sample frequencies from 11 to 48 kHz. If you experience skipping, please report it! Limitations ----------- The maximum supported directory length is 400 files, or a max sum of all filenames of 16 KB. Bug reports ----------- If you find that one of the supported features misbehave, please file a bug report on our web page. Do not report missing features as bugs, instead file them as feature requests. License ------- All files in this archive are subject to the GNU General Public License.
