Release notes, version 1.0

General
-------
This first version only features simple file browsing and playback of
mp3 files.

User interface
--------------
The user interface is very rough and unpolished. It consists of a simple
directory list with a cursor.

Press PLAY to enter a directory or start playing an mp3 file. When playing
a file, the id3 tags Artist and Title are displayed on the screen.

Press STOP to exit id3 display and go back to the dir browser. The file
remains playing. For continuous playback of all files in the directory, you
must remain in id3 display mode.
To stop playback, press STOP in the root dir. Pressing stop in any other
directory will simply take you to the previous directory level.

Press MENU to enter the menu. You can view the Rockbox version and adjust
the sound settings. The sound settings are not stored, so they are reset at
every boot.

Performance
-----------
We have tested with bit rates from 32 to 320 kbit/s and sample frequencies
from 11 to 48 kHz.

Limitations
-----------
There are a number of shortcomings and limitations that will be addressed
in later versions:
 - Max 200 files in a dir
 - Continuous mode (playing all files in a dir) requires you to stay in id3
   display mode. Exiting back to the browser will make playback stop when
   the currently playing song has finished.
 - During continuous mode, only the first file's id3 info is displayed.
 - No dir/file indication in browser
 - No filename or extension filter in browser
 - No scrolling
 - No back-light handling

Bug reports

If you find that one of the supported features misbehave, please file a bug
report on our web page. Do not report missing features as bugs, instead file
them as feature requests.
